I had a 30-minute phone interview with the Mechanical Engineering manager for a position on the West Coast, even though I applied for a job on the East Coast. The role is mainly design (90%) with a small part of product-line support (10%). The manager was very direct. Proterra is facing issues with having too many orders for buses but not enough staff, so the job would be really fast-paced in a company that lacks standardized processes due to its rapid growth. They primarily use Solidworks for CAD. It's been two weeks since the interview and I haven't received an offer.
