First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Promenade.
DP Assistant
It was a good interview at the time, the department was structured and had many experienced people. However, the company lost its way over time in its values and especially in valuing its human capital.
- Tell me about your work experiences.
Sales Development Representative
The conversation was friendly and aimed to understand my background, how I communicate, and my interest in sales development. We talked about my experience with outbound outreach, how I handle objections, and my approach to learning and feedback in sales. The interviewer also explained the role expectations, how success is measured, and the team structure. I had time to ask questions, and their answers were open and helpful. The process felt clear and organized, giving me a good idea of the role and what success looks like. The interviewer was respectful of my time and communicated openly.
- Can you describe a typical workday?
Customer Service Representative
There was a lot of email back and forth, plus several interviews where they asked multiple questions. The only upside was meeting the CEO and his partner. The interview process was really strange, which should have been a hint about how the company operates.
- Can you describe how you approach and overcome challenges?
Product Manager
I talked to the Recruiter first and that went fine. Then I met with a Product Manager, she was great. The third interview was with another Product Manager and it was one of the worst interviews I've had. All of it was on Google Meet. I was really nervous and kept saying umm a lot during the third interview. The interviewer even made fun of my ums. I almost told them 'Thanks, but no thanks.' It's a small company and I hope this interviewer is just one bad person and hasn't ruined the culture. One toxic person can really ruin a team. Blocking hiring of better and more experienced people just to protect a weak ego will hold this company back.
- What would be your approach to implementing a point of sale process?
