First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ProMedica.
Account Strategist
I applied online and got an email for an HR interview, which was basically a run-through of my application. The next week, the hiring manager set up a Teams meeting. We talked about my experience and how my skills fit the role. The following week, I had a final in-person interview scheduled, but the hiring manager forgot to add me to the invite, so I missed it. Luckily, she called to apologize, and we rescheduled for the next week. After waiting another week, I found out I didn't get the job. The whole process took over a month and felt slow, and I think my chance was hurt by something out of my control. To be hired, you also need to pass a drug test and get a flu shot.

Patient Care Technician
I put in an application for two jobs online. A few days later, I got an email to set up a phone interview with a recruiter. She then set up both my interviews for the next week. I had them, and then got feedback two days after. She was also very quick to respond.

Human Resources Director
Got a call about a week after I applied, which was a screening. Then, a call from their Regional office, a more detailed discussion about the role and the organization, checking if the role fit my experience and if we both found it beneficial. I was told I'd hear back about an in-person interview if they wanted to move forward. We set up the in-person for the next week. I toured the facility, saw the work environment, and met some of the interview panel. It was a standard interview and felt welcoming. The interview went well, but the position didn't offer pay that was competitive enough for me, and I don't think they could meet my salary expectations based on market rates. I got a rejection email about a week later. Overall, the facility was nice and the healthcare professionals there seemed great.
- Can you share your Human Resources background?
- Describe a situation where you had to handle a challenging employee.
- How do you prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously?
Medical Scheduler
It was a quick interview. The recruiter asked me a few questions, and when we discussed salary, I told her my requirements. She then said that was much higher than they could offer. I explained my previous job history with similar positions and the pay, but she said it wouldn't be possible. The interview for that specific position was okay overall. However, I don't think a recruiter should disqualify a candidate for that reason alone.
