Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Prolocity.
Salesforce Consultant
My interview process with Prolocity was really positive, thorough, and strategically thought out. The recruiter was super knowledgeable and always got back to me, making everything feel smooth and supported. I interviewed for two positions and met about ten people from the team. Everyone I met was amazing. They made me feel welcome, asked good questions, and really seemed interested in getting to know me. What was cool is they clearly explained what they expected but also made sure to figure out what would be a good fit for me. It felt like a real two-way chat, not just a typical interview. Honestly, it was one of the best interview experiences I've had.
- Can you describe your experience working with various client types?
- How do you tailor your methods based on a client's technical expertise?
Salesforce Consultant
The interview process was pretty great. It started with a recruiter chat where they were upfront and answered my questions. They set up a technical interview pretty fast. The technical interview was tough but the interviewer was super supportive and friendly, making it feel more like a chat than a test. I got to explain my thinking, which was cool. Then I met some leaders. Everyone was nice and easy to talk to. It gave me a really good feeling about the team and company vibe. I was happy to get and accept the offer soon after. The whole thing was smooth, respectful, and made me feel good about joining.
- Can you describe your prior consulting experience?
Salesforce Consultant
I was contacted via LinkedIn and had an initial interview, but I wasn't interested in the role after. During the interview, I asked about the pay structure, like utilization rates based on billable hours or other models, and the interviewer had no clue. This is super important because some pay structures are deal-breakers for many people. I also brought up the lack of racial diversity in the company. The response I got was an old excuse about not many people of color being Salesforce consultants specializing in non-profit work. This implies the company isn't making a real effort to recruit diverse candidates. They could do more than just random LinkedIn outreach without a specific DEI focus. Some companies in the Salesforce world do put in that effort, so there's no excuse. While they might get good Glassdoor reviews, it might only be a good environment for certain people. I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable there. Even if they could hire more diverse talent, I doubt they could keep them because the environment wouldn't be set up for success or feel culturally safe.
