First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Proliance Consulting.
Sales Associate
The interview was pretty standard. The interviewer was friendly and seemed ready, and didn't ask any tricky questions. They mostly asked about my skills and what I've done before, like challenges I've faced, etc.
- Can you tell me about your current role?
Business Systems Analyst
So Proliance is a staffing company, and they mostly just screen you to ensure that you really did what's on your resume and that they can present you to their clients without looking bad. The actual interviews will be with the client companies. For me, there were 3 steps before I talked to a client: 1. A quick phone call with the recruiter to go over my resume. They might have a role for you already. They asked for my rate on this call. 2. If they're not in a big hurry, they like to meet in person. 3. Then they pass you to the client. You'll likely have one or more phone screens or in-person interviews with them. You'll stay in touch with the recruiter via phone or email. 4. After the client interview, the recruiter lets you know if you got the job. Then you meet them one last time for paperwork, though some of that might be online.
- Tell me about what you did in your past jobs.
- What were your duties in each of your previous roles?
- What is your desired rate?
Consultant
I had a phone screening with Proliance, then a coding interview with Microsoft, followed by a less formal, long-answer interview with Microsoft, which had about 5 questions. I accepted the offer, but Proliance breached the contract because they couldn't hire me due to GDPR, leaving me unemployed for 4 weeks and uninsured for 4 months after my last job. It was the worst hiring experience ever.
- A Fizz Buzz type question was asked and we discussed time complexity and test cases for 30 minutes.
Technical Recruiter
My process started with a phone screen where we talked about the open positions and whether my experience was a good fit. After that, there was an on-site/panel interview and a half-day job shadow to get a better sense of the day-to-day tasks for a Technical Recruiter and to experience the company culture at Proliance.
- Tell me about a situation where you needed to be persuasive or convince someone to take a certain action.
