When we talk about motivations, I want to know what really makes you tick, like if it's personal stuff, getting ahead, money, or just loving this field. We should go deep on your past work too, like specific projects or wins that show you can do what this job needs. How much you can work is also key, so let's chat about when you're free, if you can be flexible, and if anything else going on might mess with your schedule. For interests, I'm keen to hear about work stuff, but also your hobbies – it can tell me a lot about who you are and if you'll fit in. Talking about the job itself means I'll give you the lowdown on what you'll be doing, what's expected, and how you can grow here, so you can see how you fit. Plus, I want to hear any questions you've got about our vibe, the team, or what we value as a company. This way, we're both on the same page. I'll be listening closely and asking open-ended questions to really get a feel for your background, what drives you, and if you're a good fit.

I had a phone screen with a third-party recruiter, but they didn't know much about the role. Then I had an in-person interview, followed by a virtual second interview.

i had a phone screen then an in person interview, and possibly a site visit. it was business casual at the corporate office. my situation was a little confusing because i was being hired by someone who was on maternity leave at the time and they were the only one who knew details on my role. so up until i got hired i wasn't entirely sure of what i would be doing. i don't think that's a normal situation though.

The process was good and straightforward. There was a screening with HR first, and after that, things moved pretty fast. Since they were out of state, we did the interview over Skype.
