Sales Representative
I got offered a virtual interview after applying for a sales role. When the interview day came, I wasn't sent a Zoom link, and my emails asking for one were ignored. I sent another email to see if we needed to reschedule, but still no reply. I assumed they'd moved on without me and didn't bother to tell me. A few weeks later, they emailed asking if I was "still interested in the position." I said yes, we scheduled an interview, and the day before, I got a confirmation email for a different job with half the pay. I emailed back to clarify that it wasn't the role I applied for and asked if they had any openings for the original position or something similar at a comparable salary. No response, and no one showed up for the virtual interview. It would have been nice to get a heads-up instead of being ghosted, especially since they implied it was the same job when they reached out the second time and then ghosted me when I questioned it. While companies have sometimes asked me to interview for different jobs, they've always been upfront about it instead of pretending it was the role I originally applied for. They seemed either super disorganized or really inconsiderate.

Sales Representative
This was a really great interview experience. First, I spoke with the corporate recruiter over the phone. After that, she invited me to their headquarters to meet her. While I was there, she showed me around the office and explained the job. She asked some good questions and was happy to answer all of mine. Honestly, it was one of the best interview experiences I've ever had. I'd definitely recommend this company to pretty much anyone.
- Can you describe some challenges you've encountered in previous sales positions and explain how those challenges might affect your performance in this new role?
Inside Sales Representative
I was referred by a colleague and the interview felt like a formality. After about 5 minutes, they said I'd get a conditional job offer pending a drug test, background check, and credit clearance. A week later, I got an email to provide tax and direct deposit info, followed by a call confirming I'd done that and explaining the upcoming training.
- Describe a time you faced rejection despite putting your best sales effort forward.
