Setting up and finishing the interview was straightforward. It was conducted online using Microsoft Teams. The communication throughout the process was good, and I received a quick response. The interviewers were pleasant and provided helpful information. Scheduling the interview was also easy. I would consider interviewing here again if the opportunity arose.

Got an email 4 days after applying saying I was selected to interview. They sent a link to schedule a phone call with a recruiter. The interview had 3 parts: First, a phone chat with the recruiter. Then, a video panel interview on Microsoft Teams with 4 other nurse case managers. Finally, a video interview on Microsoft Teams with the Manager of Clinical Operations.

I chatted with HR, a product owner, the sr. director of analytics, and one of their senior analytics managers. They were all great people and really knew their stuff and their work. I've got zero complaints about them. The interview process is pretty standard, but they do throw in a live Excel skills test. The questions are typical, like 'tell me about a tough situation you handled' and 'what's your current role involve?'. The Excel test is about intermediate level (dealing with messy data, vlookup, table changes, Excel formulas, etc.), and you need to be good at juggling tasks. Their goal is to see if you can demo data processing and manipulation live to clients while you're talking with them. Any Excel skill is more than what's usually asked of a clinical informaticist, who usually does workflow analytics and project implementations, which is why I found the interview tough; otherwise, it'd be average. I'd suggest getting some intermediate Excel training (and maybe some VBA coding) for this job.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you tell me about a project you've worked on?
  • Regarding Excel skills: I was given a list of Disney movies with titles and release years, and I had to separate the title from the release year and reorder them based on earnings. Then, I had to use vlookup to find titles by year of release or something similar. I had to do all of this while discussing the various projects I'm currently working on.

I was on a screening call and the person interviewing me was super aggressive with their questions. They didn't even give me any info about the company or the job until I had to stop them and ask. They seemed like they were annoyed that I even asked and had no energy when they finally did describe the company. I was already feeling iffy about the role after reading other reviews, but this call really confirmed it wasn't the right fit. I ended the call early.
