First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Profitero.
Account Manager
The interview showed how unprofessional the HR and recruiters are at this company. I thought I was a good fit based on my resume and the job description (JD), but during the interview, I found out the responsibilities were totally different from my experience. It was so absurd. I don't get why HR and recruiters didn't review my resume carefully or give more details about the job. It was a big waste of time for everyone.
- What are your job expectations?
Recruitment Partner
I applied after seeing the job on the Profitero website and got an email to set up a call to discuss the role. The first stage was a screening call. Then, I had a video interview with the hiring manager and a colleague via Teams. The final stage was a 1-hour panel interview which included a 20-minute presentation. I really enjoyed the presentation part as it helped me learn more about the company and its products. The whole process was well-explained, and I was given enough time to prepare for each part. They were also flexible with scheduling when I needed to reschedule due to work.
- Could you research the company and explain what Profitero does?
- What are Profitero's office locations?
- What are Profitero's values, such as TAP Think Like A Customer, Achievement Over Activity, and Positivity is Contagious?
Business Analyst
First, there was a quick call with the recruiter about my background. Then, I had a 30-40 minute call with the manager, who went over my experience in more detail. After that, I did a panel interview where I had to present my skills and findings using Power BI to about 9-10 people from different teams. Then, I had an hour-long interview with the team manager and the director, focusing on behavioral questions. The interview went really well, and they even complimented my presentation, but unfortunately, they couldn't offer me the job because of my temporary visa status, even though it had 2 years left.
- Questions about my presentation.
- Questions about my Power BI skills.
- Behavioral questions.
Product Manager
It was a lengthy process with 6 interviews total, which felt like a lot. This was partly due to the people managing it at the time, but it was definitely nerve-wracking. Otherwise, the interviews were pretty standard, mostly focusing on my background and specific details about projects and products I was responsible for. They were really interested in my communication skills and wanted to make sure they were solid.
- Tell me about a product you managed.
- Can you share an example of when you feel you helped a product grow?
- What are some examples of when you had to get multiple stakeholders to agree on something?
