Customer Success Manager
So I had applied for this role before last year, and it opened up again, so I just hit up the hiring team. I got a quick and nice reply from someone in talent, and they set up a 30-min video call with the hiring manager. The whole thing so far has been quick, clear, and just good vibes. I liked how fast they got back to me about wanting to try again after the first time.
- For a customer with a complicated setup across different platforms like SaaS, on-prem, and PaaS, what would you do to make sure they adopt it well and stick around?
Senior Software Engineer
The recruiter was really enthusiastic about me initially. After I interviewed with the hiring manager, I was given a take-home assignment which took me the entire 48 hours to complete. I felt I did a great job on it and even went above and beyond. Then, silence. I didn't even get a rejection email. I spent two full days on it for nothing. They didn't even acknowledge my time. Don't waste your time on this when they don't care about yours.

Product Marketing Manager
A recruiter from Aquent reached out about an opportunity with Profisee. I had an initial screening call with the recruiter, and then she set up an interview with Profisee's hiring manager. The interview itself was a bit rough because I don't have a lot of experience marketing database management software. Towards the end, the hiring manager asked if I wanted to proceed, and I said yes. He seemed enthusiastic, mentioning family visiting for Thanksgiving. However, I never heard back from him, and the recruiter also stopped responding after I updated her on the conversation. So, I was essentially ghosted.
- Can you tell me about your experience marketing database management software?
QA Analyst
I applied through Monster and got an email for a phone interview. During the phone interview, they asked about my background, what kind of apps I've worked on (client/server or web), and what testing tools I've used. They use client/server and Team Foundation Server. After that, I got an email to set up a 2.5-hour in-person interview. I went and met 4 different people one-on-one. They asked about black box vs. white box testing, my test strategy, how I test, the coolest bug I found, and what goes in a bug ticket. I got the sense the company is small but the people are nice, and they have a product that seems needed.
- Could you give me an example of a join?
- What distinguishes an empty string from NULL?
