I applied through my school's career website. About a week later, I got a call from an administrative person to set up an onsite interview. I interviewed with the department head who was hiring, and at the end, I found out another department head was also interested in hiring me. About another week later, I came back for a second interview with that other department head and the Regional VP for a different or related role. A few days after that, I was sent to their corporate office in the Midwest because the position isn't offered to just anyone. When I got to the corporate office, I had a basic interview that was mostly about salary.

Saw an ad on Craigslist, emailed my resume and got called in. I only had one interview with the Department Manager/Hiring Manager, the Office Manager, and a Staff Engineer. About a week later, I got a call with an offer. It was a pretty standard interview process. This company values loyalty and wants to see if you plan to stay and grow with them. You probably need an EIT for this role, but likely not a PE for a graduate engineer position unless it's a senior opening they're training you for. They mentioned they were looking for someone they could train up.

The interview process was pretty relaxed, not overly technical. I discussed my background, education, and past roles. I then spoke with two managers who outlined the typical responsibilities of the job. Afterwards, I toured the office and had the chance to ask my own questions. While I had a positive overall impression, it was apparent that they prioritize profits, which came through in the conversation.

I set up a meeting with the Regional Manager. He invited me for coffee to discuss the position. When I arrived at the office, there was no one at the front desk. Finally, someone came out and asked if she could help me. A man walked by and went into his office. She mentioned the Regional Manager would see me shortly. A few minutes later, the man who passed by came out and introduced himself. We spoke for about 30 to 40 minutes, and he said he would contact me, but I never heard back. I later met his colleague who told me about their opening and asked if I'd heard from the manager. I hadn't, so he said he'd look into it, but I still haven't received any communication.
