Customer Service Representative
It started with a phone call where they went over the job description and talked about what the job entails. Then, there was an interview at the office to see how you'd fit in with the team.
- What are your thoughts on making collection calls?
Customer Service Representative
I posted my resume online and the regional manager contacted me. He liked my resume and wanted to interview me that same day. We talked about my past jobs and collections. He explained the job details like the pay ($13/hr + ~$300/month commission + $200/month car allowance), field work (visiting delinquent accounts, checking addresses, leaving notices), and benefits (Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance paid by the company). He also went over the daily calling process, expecting 100-160 calls daily, and the overall day-to-day tasks. He said he'd run a background check and I'd hear back in a week if it was good. A week later, I had another interview with the branch manager, mainly to see if I'd fit in with the office team. After that, I was told I'd get a decision the same day. Before the day ended, they called to offer me the job.
- How would you deal with an irate customer?
Customer Service Representative
I saw the job on Glassdoor and applied right away. Recruiter called me about 3 days later to schedule an interview. A few days after that, I interviewed with the recruiter and the branch manager. It was a really quick and informative interview. They offered me the job the next afternoon.
- Can you tell me about your experience with collections?
