Had an initial phone interview and then another one the same morning. The first was with the hiring manager, who asked some basic questions and focused on detailing the demanding nature of the position and the team. The second interview was with the person leaving the role; it lasted about 45 minutes, with them doing most of the talking and limiting my opportunity to speak. I was told a quick decision would be made, with an update expected by the following Friday at the latest. It's been over three weeks with no word.

We had a phone screen with HR first. Then, I spoke with the manager I'd be interning for. They were really nice and the whole thing moved fast. They were cool about the start date too, which was helpful. We talked through my resume and it was a good chance to really share my background and journey.

I applied through an agency and there were two interview stages. The first was a one-on-one with a senior design engineer, and the second was with that same engineer plus a business development director. Both interviews were friendly and informal, and they were as interested in telling me about Abru/Wernerco as they were in assessing my skills.
