I had 3 interviews in total: a phone interview, a Skype interview, and then an on-site. The first call was a general background overview, and the Skype call was a more in-depth discussion about my specific experience. Everyone I spoke with at the company was really nice and professional. The VP I talked to gave me good feedback and was really positive. For the on-site, I had to do a presentation for the CEO and some other people from the company. The CEO was a true professional and asked some really smart questions. Everyone at the presentation was super respectful and courteous. It was great that the CEO was so friendly too. I think this would be an amazing place to work and the company is set up for good growth. It was a really positive interview experience.

I found the Project Manager (Training) role on LinkedIn and heard back about three weeks later. The interview process included a phone screening, then a Zoom interview with two future teammates, and finally an in-person meeting with another team member and the CEO. It was strange because they kept reposting the job on LinkedIn throughout this whole time. When I asked about other candidates, they mentioned over 10 people were interviewing, which felt like a red flag given the posting duration and how far we were in the process. I thought my chat with the CEO went well, but I can see how some might find him off-putting. It’s been about two weeks since my last interview and I haven’t heard back, so I’m guessing they went with someone else.

I found this role through a third-party recruiter on Linkedin, who then reached out. I had a 45-minute phone call with them, and then I was invited to meet the CEO in person the following week. I met with the recruiter and CEO, and I asked the CEO how long he had been searching. He mentioned it had been three years and didn't give a timeline for when he wanted someone to start. I then met with the recruiter again and asked about the timeline. She said she wasn't sure but estimated several months. Three weeks later, the recruiter contacted me about a possible dinner interview with the CEO. I asked about the timeframe again, and she said several months since he was taking his time. At that point, I emailed the CEO directly, but he didn't respond. I would be wary of this opportunity; it seems like a potential hoax.

I had two initial phone calls that went really well and felt professional. Then, the final interview was a virtual meeting with the CEO. The CEO was late, so I started with the CCO, which was fine. When the CEO joined, he was dismissive, questioning my interest and passion for the company. I explained my experience with growing within companies even if my initial passion wasn't high, but he was condescending. He asked what I knew about the role, and I shared what I'd learned from the earlier calls. He was rude, implied I was wasting his time, and ended the meeting prematurely, leaving me to finish with the CCO. Even if offered the job, I would have declined due to his unprofessional behavior. While interviews should test responses, this was beyond acceptable.

What does it matter, they don't operate on the up and up. Don't interview here. HR and at least Education are shady.
