First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ProAg.
Underwriter
I spoke with a recruiter, and then the hiring manager called. I followed up a bunch with the recruiter but didn't hear back about the job status.
- How do you handle a difficult coworker?
- How do you manage to meet tight deadlines?
Lead Engineer
I had 3 hrs of interviews. I met with the hiring manager, Dev lead, some team members, QA, and the Architect. We went through a bunch of technical questions covering c#, REST, front end, SQL server database, entity framework, generic, and object oriented concepts.
- Can you explain the difference between an interface and an abstract class?
Front Desk Receptionist
I had a one on one interview with the interviewer, who is no longer with ProAg. After that, I was called back for a second interview. During this second interview, he let his whole office ask me questions in a conference room without him. They then reported back to him with their feedback. It was an unusual approach, but I didn't mind it.
- What attracts you to a career in crop insurance?
Director
The interview process was transparent, professional, and interactive. It gave me a good understanding of what they were looking for and what I wanted, without being too long. Some places I've been a finalist for had like 6-7 rounds, but this was more manageable.
- Can you share your vision and relevant experience?
- How do you assess company fit?
- What's your perspective on an industry undergoing significant change?
