I had an interview with the head of HR, but the camera was off. It felt like I was just talking to myself because they didn't ask me any questions about myself as a person. The interviewer seemed like they just wanted to get it over with.

System Design Technical

The interview involved a system design task, which I get is for checking both technical and communication chops. But, it was super hard for reasons not related to the task itself. The recruiter gave requirements that were basically nonexistent, often unclear, and sometimes even misleading. This made it really tough to figure out what they wanted and how to build something that would actually work for them. Talking to the recruiter was a pain. They didn't want to answer questions or give more info. This made things stressful and it was almost impossible to create a good solution on time. After the interview, I heard nothing back, no feedback. Just ghosted.

I applied online and then I got a Zoom call scheduled about a week later. The call was supposed to be 20 minutes but the interviewer was 8 minutes late, didn't turn his camera on, and seemed really distracted the whole time. He didn't even look at my resume before the interview and wasn't friendly at all. I was really looking forward to the company but it took less than 12 minutes for the interviewer to give me a bad feeling about them.

I saw a tweet about this role and applied. Within a week, they said I was a good fit and sent over a PDF about their Player Participation process. They also sent a trial college game to complete with a deadline. I did 2 more trial games after that. Once I finished the third game, I got a Skype video interview.
