First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PrismHR.
Senior Software Engineer
I went through five rounds of interviews. Three were challenging coding assessments. Then there was a system design round. The last round was a final discussion with the product manager. The interview panel was knowledgeable and supportive. They informed me that the position has been put on hold.

Customer Success Manager
The initial recruiter call went fine, and then we set up a zoom with the hiring manager. Nobody showed up for the zoom call, and after 15 minutes, I messaged the recruiter about the time and place. I was told the hiring manager was on a flight and we'd have to reschedule. It seems like something that could have been handled that morning, but I went with it. No biggie. The rescheduled interview happened at 4:30pm on a Monday, and it was obvious the hiring manager was annoyed to be doing it at the end of the day. They seemed like they were fighting yawns and couldn't end the call fast enough. They even mentioned they were confused why the recruiter scheduled it that way. Again, something that could have been sorted out earlier. Despite all this, the interview was okay, and I was told I'd hear back within a week. I waited three weeks, sent a follow-up, and then waited another 5 days, only to get a standard rejection email. I really feel like my time wasn't respected at any point and I never got a real chance to show what I could do with an engaged hiring manager. I've never written a review like this but wanted to give this feedback to PrismHR so they can treat candidates better in the future.
- Can you describe how you would manage a difficult client or an escalated situation?
Systems Applications Analyst
Started with phone interviews with my supervisor, the department director and a senior employee. Then I had an in person interview with the department director and a human resources representative. The phone interviews were very in depth and they were very open about the company and how it was quickly growing. I was given a clear and detailed picture of what would be expected in the position and it was very accurate. The in person interview felt like it was more a formality than an interview, it was nice to see the office and meet some of the people in the office. The interview at the office gave a chance for me to see the culture and feel of being in the office.
- How do you think you would contribute to a fast growing company?
Product Analyst
I applied for the role online and was contacted by a Director who wanted to chat about the position. It was unusual to be contacted by a senior person right away. This conversation was informal and the Director emphasized their need for a product expert with strong payroll knowledge. They mentioned that the next step would be a panel interview with team members, and HR would handle scheduling and salary. Later that day, I got an email from Recruiting to schedule a call. During this call, they said they were just "checking off boxes" and would loop back with the Director. A few days later, Recruiting emailed to say they'd spoken with the Director and a panel interview was being set up. They asked for my availability, then proposed a time that didn't work for me. After some back and forth, we settled on a date and time, about a week after my initial chat with the Director. The day before the interview, I confirmed with Recruiting, and they sent an invite for a time we hadn't agreed on. Still, I attended the panel interview. Similar to the Director's chat, it wasn't a formal interview. No behavioral or STAR questions were asked, except for, “What do you do when you first receive a project.” At the end, I inquired about the next steps, and they said the Director or Recruiting would follow up. I never received any further communication about the role, despite following up twice with both individuals. This experience demonstrated a lack of professionalism and competence, from the scheduling issues to the uninspired panel interview and the absence of any follow-up, even for a rejection. I would advise others to avoid PrismHR.
