The interviewers were really nice and supportive. They asked a lot of questions about my mental health knowledge and some scenario-based questions. There were about 10 questions in total, and if I got stuck, I felt encouraged and supported.

It was all competency and situation based questions. I was asked maybe 7-10 questions and was able to answer them all due to a previous care position. This interview would be difficult without previous experience due to the questions being centred around service users. I have heard that some have been tailored for people with no care experience.

The interview was really relaxed and not formal at all. Before we started the main interview, I had to fill out a paper with some basic questions about if I knew what the job was about, if I had any criminal convictions, health issues, my date of birth, and if I had any holidays already booked. There were 11 questions in total for the interview, and it went on for more than an hour.
