First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Priority Dispatch Corp..
Director
The process started with a chat with the hiring manager, then I met with some people from different teams, and finally, the team I would be joining. It was pretty cool to see everyone I'd be working with and get a feel for the company overall.
- What do you prioritize most in a new position?
Product Owner
The process started with a recruiter phone call, followed by an interview with the hiring manager, and then a round with the team. The whole thing was pretty fast, from the recruiter call to getting the offer, it took about 3 weeks.
- Have you had experience working in an agile environment?
Media Designer
It was a long interview process, with three interviews. First, I spoke with the recruiter, then I met with two hiring managers. The criteria they were looking for kept changing each time I spoke with them. The recruiter initially said I had the skills and experience and was eager for me to start. They said my resume was a strong fit and wanted me to meet the hiring managers quickly. I had about four calls with the recruiter. After meeting the hiring managers, I felt my skin color and religious choices might have influenced their decision. I felt the hiring manager tried to prevent me from getting the job. It was a long process, and I eventually gave up because I was tired of the hiring manager's attitude, the multiple calls with the recruiter, going through several interviews, doing one test, and then being asked to do another test to verify what I said. It wasn't worth it to me. It was clear the hiring manager wanted someone more like them. I was told they were looking for someone with 'other skills,' even though my skills matched the criteria before the interviews.
- Are you familiar with Adobe Animate?
Executive Assistant
Got a call from the recruiter, who asked if I was free to answer some questions. Normally, companies email to set up a time for a phone screen so you're not caught off guard. She was nice and checked if I had the time, but scheduling ahead would be better. She asked her questions and then asked if I could come in Monday after the Friday call. I met with three people one-on-one. The first two were pleasant and asked typical and some get-to-know-you questions. The last interviewer was unpleasant, only saying 'Hmmm' and looking at my resume without eye contact, seeming unfriendly and condescending. After the interviews, I did some brief computer skills tests. It was a longer day than expected. Also, this was during Covid, and only the older security guard wore a mask in the office.
- Can you share your background in an Executive Assistant role?
