Business Analyst
The overall vibe was off, and overworking is glorified with an expectation of you to commit 200% 24/7 with no personal time. The interviewer was not really professional, but the recruiters were nice, friendly, and helpful. They possibly know more background about the role than the interviewer, ngl.

Business Analyst
I saw Principal's posting on my schools job boards and applied. Got an email from a recruiter and we set up a first interview via phone. The recruiter was great and made me feel comfortable, it was conversational with some behavioral questions but mostly just talking. After that, I was set to schedule interviews with team members I may be working with, which were weeks later. I had two, thirty minute phone interviews, each with two Principal employees. These were more behavioral and asked about my technical background, but still enjoyable. I received an offer a few days later. I was a bit apprehensive because I did not get to visit the company, all my interviews were on the phone. Principal doesn't bring in candidates who are too far, and I felt I didn't get a chance to really get to know the company. I definitely would have liked to visit and see the office.
- Tell me about yourself or a past experience (behavioral).
IT Systems Analyst
So first, there was like this 30 minute phone call with a recruiter, just to see if I was a cultural fit and asked about my experience and what I'm into. Then, the next interview was in person, lasted an hour, and I met with three of the team leaders. They really dug into my past experience and projects and hit me with some technical questions, like how to change a Windows registry key. I also got to ask them stuff about the job and what it's like working there.
- Can you describe how you would modify a Windows registry key?
- What steps would you take to reset the memory on a desktop computer?
- Could you explain what VDI is and its purpose?
