The company seems to operate in an old-fashioned way. Recruiters and senior staff talk about their work as if they're stuck in the 90s, boasting about being better than McKinsey, Bain, etc., just because they're smaller. They also call randomly for a 30-minute phone screen, which is unusual as most companies schedule these. After the initial stage, there are about four more interviews. The recruiter also made fun of my interests when I shared my hobbies, asking why anyone would care about that. There's a strong focus on skills like linear algebra, differential equations, and coding. They even asked about my grades and SAT/ACT scores, despite hiring college graduates.

I applied online and was contacted by the HR director to discuss the position. Then, I had to take an online argument test evaluating arguments and logic. After passing, I had a phone conversation with my direct supervisor. Following that, I had an in-person interview. It started with the HR director, then more logic tests (timed logic, pattern recognition, vocabulary). After the tests, I met with staff and answered technical coding questions on a whiteboard. I was taken to lunch, and then finished the day with the HR director to discuss next steps. A suit and tie are required.

I sent my application via email to the HR recruiter listed on the company website. The next day, the recruiter contacted me for a 40-minute call to discuss my background and the company. He outlined the hiring steps: an online aptitude test, a phone interview, and an on-site interview. I completed the aptitude test that same evening and sent a follow-up email, but did not receive a response.

I did a reasoning test first, then had a phone interview where they mostly asked about my experience with very few technical questions. After that, I had a full day of interviews with multiple people focusing on my work experience and mutual expectations. One of these interviews was a technical one, which was quite straightforward.
