The interview process was actually an English assessment held on the Princess Nora University campus in a classroom with many other applicants. It was pretty easy, although the listening part was a bit tricky because it went by really fast.

The interview was conducted online via SKYPE, with visual aids. Three interviewers were present. After introductions, they inquired about my qualifications. They asked questions, pausing for extended periods, encouraging me to fill the silence. The interview concluded without an immediate decision. I received an email two days later confirming my successful application.

They asked me typical questions on Skype about my experience. They also ask very personal questions and you should be prepared to answer them. The interviewer was not organized and she was kind of cold. The most important thing you should know is that they mislead you about the benefits. They promise you health insurance, but you do not actually get it. You will pay for your own health care. But they lie about this at the interview. I don't have health problems, but I was still annoyed. Second, your salary is not what they promise if you don't provide stamped, validated letters confirming employment and this has to be done quickly. Otherwise, they will move ahead and you won't get your promised amount. This happens to a lot of teachers.

It was a SKYPE interview that lasted about half an hour. They asked me about my diverse work and educational background concerning English teaching. Sometimes these recruiters can't comprehend that a person might excel at multiple things and possess varied interests. They inquired about my international experience, the TEFL course I completed in 2006, and what my expectations were for living in Saudi Arabia, as well as my understanding of the culture.
