There was a lot to explore in this overall genuinely good interview process. You can expect your standard "Tell us about yourself" questions, but there was a unique genuine interest in aiding a good match between business need and my career goals.

Primary Services has a two-part interview process. First, you'll chat with a recruiter who'll ask about your current job and your interest in joining the company. After that, you need to submit your job history through an external app and consent to a basic background check. You'll then get notified if you're moving on to the second interview, either by email, text, or phone. The recruiter mentioned I might advance right after the first interview, as long as I finished the application.

The recruiter interviewing me seemed to steer me away from wanting the job. She didn't mention any company benefits and really stressed that the role would be very difficult and involve hard work for the first 6-8 months. She also asked about retention, bringing up that previous hires with my background had left, and wanted to know why I might stay. I thought this question could have been phrased better, without implying everyone with my background leaves. I didn't hear back in the end, which isn't too surprising since I don't think I would have been a good fit, though the people were nice. It's a bit inconsistent, given they are in recruiting and work with job seekers daily, that they didn't follow up to say they'd gone in a different direction, especially when their values state 'People first' and 'Integrity.'

The interview process was pretty easy and relaxed, but still formal. They were very professional with the questions and helpful by letting you know that they can review your resume and send you an updated copy with their logo on it to send to several contractors. They create like a profile submitting the furthest you would drive, a minimum pay that you would like, really just specific things which you look for in a job to select the best offer for you and after all they deliver you the news about jobs they have found and describe what it is, and you then decide if you want to take the offer or not.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • What experience do you have that displays for contractors?
