First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Primary Residential Mortgage.
Product Manager
The interview was personal and friendly, a 1:1 conversation that got straight to the point to see if I was a good fit. It wasn't overly formal or lengthy, but I spoke with the right people at the appropriate times, and the process moved along seamlessly. It was one of the most relaxed interviews I've experienced.
- Can you share the reason for leaving your last job?
- Do you know the Agile development methodology?
HR Clerk
So, the interview process started with a phone screening, then there was an in-person interview with the hiring manager, and after that, another quick chat with some team members. They asked about my past work, what I know about HR, and some general behavioral stuff. It was pretty professional and organized, and they kept me in the loop. The timing was normal, and I heard back pretty quickly after each step. All in all, it was a pretty standard and what I expected for this kind of job.
- When dealing with many HR requests simultaneously, how do you go about prioritizing and managing all the tasks?
- Can you describe your previous experience in HR?
- What specific skills do you possess that are relevant to this HR role?
Loan Officer
It was pretty straightforward, the questions weren't hard to get through - they spent more time trying to sell the company than asking me anything. The vibe felt really relaxed and the people working there seemed happy.
- Can you tell us a little about yourself and what makes you interested in working here?
Underwriter
The interview process was mostly one-on-one phone calls, followed by one-on-one meetings. It wasn't difficult at all. I had to speak with a Corporate Manager and the Regional Operations Manager. They mostly asked about my job history and presented a couple of underwriting scenarios, asking how I would approach them.
- Can you tell me about your previous job experience?
- Given this underwriting scenario, what would be your approach?
- How would you handle this particular underwriting situation?
