the interview was very direct and straight forward as the interviewers were very friendly and welcoming, it started with exchange of pleasantries then followed by questions which were more administrative because they let me know if given this offer, I'm gonna be a team leader.

I applied and a recruiter reached out within a few days to set up an interview for the same week. I dressed professionally, but the interviewers were very casual and unkempt. The first part involved a 20-minute explanation of the organizational structure, which I found boring. Then, one interviewer asked me about BGP Weight, which I thought was incorrect, but I didn't say anything. She also asked about my resume experience with F5 and FirePower, which were simple questions. The other interviewer then started questioning parts of my resume that he suspected might be falsified. He then unexpectedly and uncomfortably asked 'where are you from by the way?' I gave a brief answer. He then asked 'why did you come to Australia?', which I found odd and didn't answer. Overall, they seemed unprofessional, and I declined their offer. I suspect he's a micromanager.

I interviewed for an invoicing clerk position on the Pathology team. A recruiting firm did the initial screening. After that, I had an in-person interview at the St. Leonards location with the head of the Accounts Receivable team and the head of the small Invoicing team. The questions were pretty open-ended, not the typical "Tell me about a time when..." type. The interviewers were nice and friendly. They explained the team structure, which is interesting because they had a major reorganization about 2 years ago (around 2015) after an audit. Now, all the accounts receivable tasks are divided among different sub-teams. It's considered less efficient now, but it was necessary for audit compliance.

It was a good technical interview with some behavioural questions. They emphasized that availability for a 24-hour roster is a must. Having a driving license is a plus because shift work sometimes requires travel outside of standard hours.
