The interview process was okay, could have been better, and felt a bit awkward. The manager seemed unsure about things and didn't really know what was going on. It was pretty straightforward though, with easy questions that were simple to answer and think about.

The interview is usually informal and customer-focused, either one-to-one or in a small group. You’ll be asked situational and strength-based questions about teamwork, customer service, reliability, and working in a fast-paced environment. Some interviews include a short shop-floor task or availability discussion. The focus is on attitude, communication, flexibility, and how you handle customers and busy periods, rather than formal experience. Scoring is based on examples, enthusiasm, and cultural fit.

I had a video interview for the Retail Assistant role at Primark. The person interviewing me was nice and asked a lot about my previous jobs in Korea, like my responsibilities and how I worked in a team. They also asked about how I onboard new people, my work habits, and what drives me. They wanted to get a sense of my personality and how I'd fit in. Towards the end, they asked about my vacation plans and availability. It felt more like a chat than an interrogation, and the vibe was chill.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • Can you tell me about your previous role in Korea?
  • How do you typically function within a team environment?
  • Describe your process for welcoming a new team member.
