Primark Operations Manager Interview Questions
& Process

After spending seven months as a Retail Assistant at Primark, I was offered an interview for a Supervisor position. The interview process was all day and it was a group setting. It included giving a personal presentation, participating in a company workshop, discussing Primark's values, and doing a practical exercise where I had to handle a tough conversation with a coworker based on a given scenario.

The interview was in a relaxed, casual environment at their Manchester branch by the lake. They were running quite late. The interviewer seemed very young, and I questioned her experience as she looked like she had just finished school.

I filled out the application online, and soon after got an email expressing interest and a heads-up about an upcoming call. I received that call the same or next day, followed by another email to schedule an in-store interview. The following week, I attended the group interview, which concluded with a solo session covering basic questions. They said they'd be in touch, and a few days to a week later, I was asked for a second interview with the store/department manager (this part might differ for retail/stock roles). So, I went back for that interview (around week three), and interviewed with a District Manager as the primary person wasn't available. After that, I was given the option to wait for the manager I was supposed to meet or leave and come back. I waited about an hour and a half and finally met two other managers who conducted yet another interview, though they were all pretty standard questions. After that, I didn't hear anything for a while, so I reached out and was told I was still being considered or the manager was on vacation. Finally, almost another week later, I received the offer. I considered countering but accepted because it was a decent offer. The next day, I got all the orientation materials via email. The orientation and start date were the following week (making it week four or five overall). They already offered extra hours since it was a new opening, and I heard that more hours can still be obtained.
