The interview was in person, lasting almost an hour. Two interviewers were present, one leading and the other observing/note-taking. I applied online via Primark's website, attaching my CV. About a week later, I got an email inviting me to a 30-minute virtual interview on Teams. During the interview, the supervisor asked to see my right to work documents, and although the camera had issues, she accepted them. She then asked about my availability, commute time, and preferred working days (weekends, weekdays, etc.). Following that, I was asked general questions like 'What do you know about Primark?', 'Why do you want to work here?', 'What is good customer service?', and 'Tell me about a time you worked in a team.' There were also scenario-based questions, such as how I'd handle a difficult customer or a long queue for changing rooms. Finally, she asked what I hoped to gain from the role, reconfirmed my available days, and asked if I had any questions. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes. She said she'd contact me within a week. A week later, she called to offer me the job, confirm my hours and days, and provide details for the induction day, including what I needed to bring. It was a very simple and direct process.

It was quick with a lot of attendees. It seemed quite lengthy and strict but if you answer the questions the way you want them to, you’ll have no problems. The interviewers were fairly kind. Asked like five questions. It’s important to do your research about the company to get extra points!
