First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Presbyterian Homes & Services.
MDS Coordinator
The setup was quick and efficient. They asked great questions and seemed honest when I asked mine. They take pride in working there. Communication was great, they explained how their role is set up and when I could expect an answer.

Recruiter
You'll connect with a sourcing specialist, or you can apply directly. Then, you'll interview with HR at the location you're interested in. If the role is more technical, you might have an interview with a manager in your department. After that, they'll decide if you'll get an offer. You should hear back within a week after the final interview, or sooner. Ideally, you'll hear back in a few business days, but it might take longer depending on the role and candidate pool. Good luck!
- What makes you want to help care for seniors?
- How do you align with the PHS mission?
- Can you share an example of when you went the extra mile to personalize your care or service?
Billing Specialist
I thought the interview process went well. I was interviewed by 3 people and it all seemed to go smoothly. I went through a recruiter and I received all call the next day that they said I was dressed inappropriately and was unprofessional! I was wearing a long dress, with ruffles and a suede suit coat. Nothing was unprofessional about that, in fact, rather on the conservative side. The main interviewer, on the other hand, was wearing a dress with leggings underneath, which I find tacky. I was very professional but the interview was rather laid back and casual. I would not want to work for women who find it ok to pick apart how I look and dress while taking no heed of their own appearance.
- The one question that stumped me and I had trouble answering was whether or not I would be ok with mandatory prayer and scripture reading in the mornings.
Certified Nursing Assistant
I applied on the website and then had two interviews. The first one was over the phone, and the second one was in person with the manager and a nurse. After that, I got a call with a job offer. I also got an email with explanations of the next steps and had to sign online documents. They also requested references, sending out two invitations for that.
- What should I do in conflict situations?
- What should I do if a Patient falls?
- How do I react when there is conflict?
