I had a video call with the HR Manager and Plant Manager. Then, they invited me for an in-person interview. Unfortunately, the HR Manager didn't follow up, and I never heard back from the company.

There were three people in the room: the Director, a supervisor, and an HR person. The Director and supervisor asked standard questions, like about my software skills. I mean, we've been using computers for ages, and my resume shows I have strong software skills. The real issue here is age. These interviewers know our ages before we even walk in. They seem to think that if you're over 50, you can't handle technology. One guy even asked how I'd feel about using social media personally during work hours. I told him my phone is off and I keep work and personal life separate. The supervisor, who looked like they were in their 20s, asked about my career plans for the next 12 months. Why 12 months? Because I'm 57 and not looking five years out? It's weird they'd care about that for an order entry job at a water delivery place. It felt like they were just trying to filter out older applicants. The HR person, based on her LinkedIn, has been there 14 years with no other listed jobs. That's rich, asking us about career progression when they clearly don't have much themselves. But I guess that's common around here; people get a job and just stay. It was just another waste of my time for a $16/hour job, and they were clearly only interested in candidates under 30.

It started with a typical phone screening, then a one-on-one chat. After that, we had a group interview in person for about an hour. Finally, I did a take-home test that took maybe an hour; it wasn't too tough, mostly just to double-check what they found in the interviews.

The process was straightforward. Honestly, I'm only doing this because you're blocking website access, preventing me from viewing the information I came here for, so I have to fill out this phony interview. I figured it's better than a fake review or salary.
