The interview process had 3 rounds: first, an HR round, then a written test, and finally a manager round. The HR round covered questions about why I want to switch jobs, my current and expected salary, and my notice period. The written test included 10-12 technical and personality questions. The manager round focused on technical questions relevant to the role and a discussion about the job and its responsibilities.

I applied online through LinkedIn and got an interview invite a few weeks later for a Zoom call with the hiring manager and his manager. They set the time and date for me, and they also told me the hourly wage upfront, which seemed fixed and low for the job. The hiring manager seemed disengaged and hadn't read my resume, asking if I was still at my last job even though it said I'd left months ago. Some red flags were: 1) I was expected to work in the office, but the hiring manager was interviewing from home, so I didn't get why that was the case. 2) Someone in the background was talking loudly during the interview, making it hard to focus, and he didn't apologize or address it. While I get that working from home can be tough, he should've scheduled better or found a quieter spot. 3) The second interviewer was busy and couldn't make it, which was odd since they set the meeting time. Unsurprisingly, I got an email a week later saying they couldn't offer me the position.

So, the interview process has 3 rounds. First, there's a Psychometric Test, which has two parts: a) a few questions about your character where you have to pick the best answer, and b) an Essay Writing section where you're given a cartoon picture and need to write an essay about it. Second, an Aptitude test, which is computer-based with about 50 questions and lasts for 35 minutes. Finally, the Manager Round, where you'll have a chat with the manager about your previous experiences and some general resume-based questions.

The interview felt pretty chill, like a casual chat about my post-production skills and what I've done before. It was about 30 minutes, and the director seemed like a cool, smart boss. Then there was an assessment test with QC, a quick trailer edit, and encoding in Premiere. I think if you don't nail the assessment, especially since some parts tripped me up, you probably won't get a callback. The workspaces looked a bit cramped.
