Human Resources
Interview went well. Simple and Easy. Upsetting because there was absolutely no follow up throughout the whole process. Following up is one of the most important tasks of being a recruiter. In my opinion, they do not seem to value their candidates, when in reality, the candidates are what makes the agency successful. Maybe they are so behind in their work that they don't have time to follow up? It's a little sad to see how recruiters in certain agencies genuinely don't care about actually helping someone find a job that suits them (at least that's what it seems like). There was an extreme lack of communication and interaction and this turned me off.
- Can you tell me about your background and experiences?
Marketing
I was struggling to find a marketing role, so I contacted Premier Staffing via a referral. The recruiter asked me about my background and my goal of getting an entry-level marketing position. At the time, I had a few years of administrative experience and was a marketing major. She dismissed my aspirations, sharing anecdotes about other 'out of touch' candidates she'd encountered, and then attempted to steer me towards call center and administrative jobs. Although I remained open-minded, I found the interview to be quite unprofessional. I pursued the alternative offers but found they weren't a good fit. Months later, I secured a marketing position independently.

Junior Recruiter
I was referred by an employee who mentioned their focus on diversity and inclusion. The initial interview went well and management even invited me back. However, they later decided I wasn't a fit for the Junior Recruiter role and suggested another position. I prepared for this new role, but then received an email an hour before the scheduled interview canceling it because they were moving forward with another candidate. I felt like they were just selecting people who fit their 'preppy' image. I don't recommend Premier Staffing due to their lack of courtesy and inclusion.
- Can you share your experiences that qualify you for recruiting?
IT Sales and IT Tech Support
I found this job through a web search. I called them and we arranged an interview, which I got in three or four days. I met them at their nice office in Oakland. The interviewer, Brittany, was punctual and wonderful.
