First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Premier Roofing.
Operations Manager
Application led to a phone screen. Recruiter laid out the process, which was a 4 part interview, and scheduled the second interview for a few days later. Second interview with the hiring manager went great, and within an hour, recruiter sent an invite for the third interview a couple days later. Third interview was to meet the peer I would be working with. We spoke for an hour and he said I would be perfect and looked forward to working with me. He wasn't sure if I would be getting an offer straight away, or there would be another interview, but said I would definitely be hearing something very soon. From what I was told at the onset, there would be a final interview with HR. I didn't hear anything more from anyone after the third interview. I followed up with the recruiter after a few days, but she had no update whatsoever and I was ghosted after that. It's difficult for a recruiter to take 30 seconds and notify candidates one way or the other. After 3 interviews, candidates shouldn't be ghosted. This speaks volumes to how it must be working there.
- What makes you the best candidate for this role?
Office Position
I found the job posting online and sent in my resume. HR contacted me, and we had a brief phone chat right then. We set up an in-person meeting with one of the owners for the next day. He was really ready for it and asked good questions about the role. He then had me come back the day after that to meet the other owner. That interview felt different, but was also good. The last step was meeting with the HR person again, who asked for my references at the end. I got a call offering me the job and I got to ask some questions, which they answered on that call.
- I don't recall being asked anything challenging, likely because I was a strong fit for the position.
Accounting Assistant
I had a quick phone interview first, and then we set up a one-on-one meeting. They sent me a Core Values Exercise to check if my values aligned with the company's. After the one-on-one, they offered a third interview with the person I'd be assisting, but I declined because the pay was lower than the average for the area and they wouldn't negotiate. The interviewer made me feel like I was overreacting for expecting a fair wage in what they called an 'employers market,' which confused me given their company's recent growth.
- Can you share an experience about facing a significant challenge in your life and how you successfully navigated it?
Digital Marketing Specialist
I had an initial phone screen that went really well. Then I was invited to come on-site for an interview with the director of marketing, Kim. We talked for about an hour, and she explained the role in detail to me. I asked questions as we went along. I was pretty upset because I took a half-day off from my current job to come in for the interview. After following up more than twice, I heard nothing back, which is NOT professional at all. Ignoring candidates is simply unprofessional.
- How do you handle stressful situations?
