It was a long process, talked to a lot of people. Started with a 30 min recruiter phone screen, then a 45 min video call with the hiring manager. After that, I had a 30 min call with another sales person, then another 30 min call with another sales person, and a third 30 min call with yet another sales person. Finally, a quick 10 min call back with the recruiter. Most of the interviews were just them asking basic hiring questions they were given and writing down my answers. The only real conversation was with the hiring manager. Everyone else just read from a script and didn't seem engaged. One person didn't even know about the position and kept saying they didn't know that area, so my examples didn't land. They even said they learned a lot about the job from me. After all that, I just got a generic rejection email saying they went with someone else, which was a fun response after spending over two weeks interviewing.

You will interview with direct team members, managers, leadership, HR, and cross-functional members. Scheduling was flexible and they were understanding about me taking time during lunch breaks for virtual interviews. You do complete a good number of interviews, and it can feel like a lot, but it's worth the effort. They want to make sure you're a good fit and will enjoy working there.

I applied to a Talent Business Partner role in early July 2023. A Talent Acquisition Specialist reached out in early August 2023 for a screening interview and mentioned they would let me know about interviewing with the Senior Director or Hiring Manager. I didn't hear back, so I assumed I was out of consideration. About a week and a half later, a different Talent Acquisition Specialist contacted me, asking similar screening questions; it was odd that two people did this. Each screening was about 15 minutes. The third round of interviews was about a week after that with the Senior Director and lasted an hour. I thought it went well and sent a thank-you email. A week later, I asked a Talent Acquisition Specialist for a status update but got no response. In September 2023, about a month later, I got a rejection.

The process was pretty chill. The recruiters and managers were super nice. It started with a phone call with a recruiter, then a Zoom call with a manager. The plan was supposed to be six steps with recruiters, managers, and people I'd work with. But it just stopped, and they didn't give any feedback. It's a bummer not knowing where I stood.
