First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Premier Home Health Care Services.
Director of Operations
I had interviews over two days that felt more like conversations. They communicated the process really well and I heard back quickly. The location was easy to get to, and everyone was nice and friendly. Not much else to add.
- Can you discuss your past work experience?
- What aspects of your previous industry did you enjoy?
Service Coordinator
I submitted my resume and cover letter and got an email back about a phone interview. They offered a couple of times for an in-person interview, which included a computer skills test. Then I had to coordinate with the hiring manager to set up a video interview with the district manager. A few days later, HR emailed to say they went with other candidates. The whole thing took about three weeks. They were professional and kept me updated. I liked getting the rejection email instead of waiting. They were upfront about how tough the job is, but it's pretty standard for recruiting. My advice is to be confident and have thick skin if you think you can do it. I guess they thought I was too timid for the role.
- Can you describe a situation where you identified an issue at work and how you resolved it?
Home Health Aid
I was interviewed for a new position that the company had just created with the local hospital, I was excited to be offered the job and being 1 of the first people to be hired for a whole new position that the company was just launching. The Company had just signed a contract with the hospital for "Safety Companion's" , which is what I was offered. The job duty basically was to sit in the pt.'s room for 8 hours, and monitor their input & output, as well as attitude, and frame of mind, i.e. ( angry, sad, frustrated)
- How do you handle individuals who have differing opinions from yourself or others?
Care Worker
Applied via online search engine. Was asked to come in for an interview and was later offered a 3-day induction. You would then have to wait up to 8 weeks for a DBS check which you pay for. When your DBS is cleared, you start the next day with 3 days shadowing then out on your own.
- Why are you interested in working in the care sector?
