First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Preferred Credit.
Scheduling Coordinator
I applied online and then had a quick 15 minute chat over the phone. After that, I had a more formal interview with two managers. They really took their time to explain the job duties and what's expected day-to-day. Because it was so close to the holidays, it ended up taking a bit longer than usual to pick someone after the interviews.
- Can you keep your friendships separate from your work to prevent playing favorites when scheduling?
Customer Service Representative
The interview started with a phone screening where they mostly went over my resume. After that, I had an on-site interview. The office in St. Cloud is really beautiful and the HR person was very friendly and helpful.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
- Describe your experience working in a team.
Contract Processor
I applied online for a different post, but a recruiter named Linda called me. She said I wasn't suitable for the position I applied for but had other openings. She offered me a contract processor position or a recovery agent role, and I picked the contract processor. Then, there was a quick telephone interview with customer service questions, and we discussed the salary range of $11-13.50/hour, depending on the shift. The next day, I had a face-to-face interview.
- On a scale of 1 to 3, how would your former supervisor evaluate your attendance?
- What would your previous supervisor identify as your area for improvement?
- What would your last supervisor say were your greatest strength and weakness?
Internal Auditor
The interview process was pretty standard and went smoothly, although it did take longer than I expected. Preferred Credit seems like a nice place to work overall.
- Tell me about how you manage to hit deadlines.
