First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Practice Velocity.
Software Developer
It was a 3-interview process. Two were phone interviews, one was a 24-hour coding challenge, and one in-person interview at their HQ. The waiting time between interviews was about 2-4 weeks. The first phone interview was a basic technical knowledge test. The second interview involved a 24-hour coding challenge where I had to complete a task and push the code to a GitHub repo. Afterwards, there was a conference call with two developers and an HR representative to review the code. The final interview was in-person at their offices, consisting of three separate meetings: one with management, one with the development team, and one with HR.
- Can you describe your experience using agile methodologies in past roles?
Marketing Director
I first connected with a recruiter, then had a phone interview with Dr. Stern. Soon after, I was invited for a panel interview with the leadership team. This involved meeting with three panels, each composed of two or three people. They asked questions relevant to how I would integrate with the team and the workplace culture. The experience was positive, and I felt engaged and welcomed. Despite feeling confident and expecting an offer, the recruiter conveyed a vague rejection from the admin, stating I wasn't 'strong' enough, without further explanation. This lack of feedback, particularly after receiving encouraging remarks like "I'm excited to see where we take this" from the CEO, was quite disappointing.
- The interview questions were relevant to the job requirements. Nothing out of the ordinary was asked.
Software Engineer
It began with an HR phone screen, then a second phone interview with the dev team who went over my resume and asked tech questions. I thought it went well and was expecting a coding assignment next. I didn't hear back for a week, and when I followed up, the HR person was rude. I've heard a lot of negative stuff about Practice Velocity and feel fortunate I wasn't hired into what seems like a unstable work environment.
- Can you elaborate on your experience level?
- Could you walk us through your resume in detail?
- How would you describe your overall experience level?
Medical Biller
So, the whole thing took about two and a half weeks. First, I had a phone interview with HR where they explained the job and asked me some questions. I also got to ask them stuff about the role. Then, about a week later, I went in for an in-person interview with more standard job interview questions. After that, the team came in to meet me and ask their questions, and I could ask them anything too. Everyone was really nice.
- How do you cope with stress?
