Education Champion
The interview focused on my experience relevant to tutoring. We also had a general discussion about my education and availability. It was one interview and I was hired.
- Tell me about your previous experience and how it has prepared you for this role.
- How has your past experience prepared you for this specific position?
Tutor
It was a really straightforward process. They focus on behavioral questions and how you'd handle interactions with students and children. I heard back from them quickly. Any previous tutoring experience is a plus, so make sure you have some or can demonstrate your ability to teach.
- What would be your approach if a student is struggling to keep up?
Tutor
the interview went really well. I was asked questions related to my experience teaching students, questions about what makes a good teacher, and questions relating to my interest in teaching. I was also told to submit a video where I teach a hypothetical class a subject of my liking, the video couldn't be longer than 10 minutes
- Tell me about your experience teaching students.
- What qualities define a good teacher?
- What are your motivations for teaching?
Program Coordinator
I sent my application to the COO by email and she got back to me in a couple of weeks. We then had a phone interview. The next round was an in-person meeting with the COO, CFO, and another team member. The questions were pretty straightforward and not too difficult. About two weeks after that, the COO emailed to offer me a position on their team. The whole hiring process took about 3 months from start to finish.
