Account Manager
This was a really professional interview experience, PF is definitely on top of things. It started with a phone call with the HR Manager, which was pretty casual, just talking about what I do and about PF and the role. A week later, I had a second phone interview with the Director of Sales. This was also kind of casual but got more into my experience, asking for specific examples and behavioral questions. I didn't hear back for another week, and they told me the job I applied for was filled, but they had a similar opening I might be good for. So the next step was a take-home case study. It was about how I'd handle a client upset about a price increase. Since I've dealt with this before, I knew how to answer it. After that, there was a 3-hour in-person interview with five people, each for 30 minutes. Brittany, the HR Recruiter, was amazing and sent me an itinerary with who I'd meet, their roles, and the times. She also sent helpful PDFs to prepare me, which really helped me get ready. I had already researched PF and prepared behavioral examples, so thanks to Brittany and knowing what to expect, this part was easy. No questions really caught me off guard. Everyone asked similar things: Why PF? Why leave my job? Tell me about a time when... The whole thing felt more like a relaxed chat than a stressful interview. Brittany was super helpful, nice, and kept communication flowing, answering all my questions.
- How would you get in touch with a client who isn't responding?
Account Manager
I applied online in early January and received a call back the same day from a recruiter. The recruiter asked basic screening questions, reviewed my resume, and discussed the position for about 20-30 minutes. I was then invited to the office to meet with the recruiter and the head of client services. The office was nice. We discussed the position further before meeting the head of client services. There were no difficult questions. The head of client services was late for the meeting, so I waited in a conference room for 15-20 minutes. She arrived without having seen my resume and I had to lead the conversation. It felt unprofessional, and I realized I wouldn't want her as a manager. The account manager role at this company is a sales role, and unlike other companies, they only have Account Managers for sales, not a separate sales and support staff. So if you're looking for a true account manager role and experience, this might not be the right fit.
- Personality and cultural fit questions were asked.
- Were there any challenging questions asked?
- What was the overall tone of the questions?
Account Manager
The process started with an initial phone chat with HR about the job, and then I was invited for an in-person interview. It took a while to schedule, about two weeks in total to get a date. The actual interview was brief and made me feel like they weren't that interested. The first interview had both an HR person and someone from the Account Management team. They didn't ask about my previous experience or how I handled specific situations. They said they'd let me know about the next steps by the end of the week but never did. I get that they're growing and interviewing a lot of people, but it's basic courtesy to at least give a candidate a response.
