First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Power Solutions International.
Administrative Assistant
The interview process was poorly organized. The questions they asked didn't seem relevant to the administrative assistant job, and the interviewer seemed unsure about what to ask. They also couldn't answer my questions about salary and benefits.
- Did you have experience with accounting?
Human Resources
The staff I met were really approachable and friendly, making the experience enjoyable. I gained valuable insights into the company and what my manager and boss would expect from me.
- What prompted you to apply to our company?
Quality Manager
The interview process was really disorganized. I had to go in twice and they never told me who I'd be meeting with. During the second interview, I was left waiting in a room with no one around, just a phone to reach a receptionist in another building. There was no access to water or a bathroom. The VP of quality eventually showed up 30 minutes late with a really unprofessional excuse, blaming someone else for being late. I felt totally disrespected. The interview itself went pretty well and they seemed impressed, but I had to tell them I wasn't interested because of those red flags. I can't work for someone like that.
- Can you describe your familiarity with the ISO system?
- Could you share your past experience leading a quality department?
Vice President
I met with the CEO. We talked privately in his office about his business and the role he's trying to fill. Then we talked about my previous company and how we could do more business together. About 80% of our talk was about how PSI could increase business with Navistar.
- Many questions concerning Natural Gas powered diesel engines and the possibility of getting business with my former employer (Navistar).
- Tell me about the opportunity for PSI to get more business with Navistar.
- What are your thoughts on the opportunity for PSI to get business with my employer at the time (Navistar) regarding Natural Gas powered diesel engines?
