So the interview was like: first a recruiter chat, then I talked to the hiring manager, then there was the full loop which had coding, system design, and a cross-functional part. The people interviewing were cool and asked stuff that was actually useful and practical. I found it a bit tough to keep up with the pace since it's been a bit since my last full loop, and I didn't really manage my time well. My tip for the system design bit: don't get stuck on the big picture for too long. Get into the details early to make sure you hit the technical points.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online and then had a phone screen with the recruiter. During the call, the recruiter accused me of using AI because I pause to think, and also lectured me about not researching the company enough. I emailed them afterward to say the interview wasn't professional and I was withdrawing my application. They just sent an email back saying they're moving on with other candidates, no apology or anything.

Behavioral Coding System Design

The interview process involved a recruiter call, then a hiring manager call, followed by a system design interview and a coding interview. While the actual interviews with the hiring manager and technical folks were good, the recruiting part was a hassle. They said it would take time, but then they rushed me to schedule interviews really fast, even though I told them about my personal commitments. After the interviews were done, they just stopped responding. No feedback, no updates, nothing. The recruiting team was very unprofessional.

  • The hiring manager went through my resume in detail.
