Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied online for the role and went through a typical product manager interview process. First, there was a recruiter screen, then a chat with the hiring manager. After that, I had a virtual onsite with people from EPD (engineering, product, design) covering engineering collaboration, product sense/whiteboarding, design, and analytics. The recruiter, Sal, was really helpful and knew a lot about the company and team, which made me feel good from the start. They were always there to answer questions.

Behavioral Technical

I had a recruiter screen and then two more rounds (one with the hiring manager and one panel interview). The interviews were pretty standard, mostly asking about my background (behavioral) and my basic understanding of engineering concepts. I really liked how much time the recruiting team put into prepping candidates and giving useful feedback.

The interview process started with a phone screen where vague salary expectations were discussed and the recruiter was late, extending the call significantly. Then, there was a hiring manager call that felt like rapid-fire, domain-specific questions. The onsite involved four rounds, including a product sense "whiteboarding" round (which the recruiter gave no guidance on) and three other fairly standard rounds. After the onsite, there was a long silence of about 7 weeks despite attempts to contact recruiting. Unexpectedly, a recruiter contacted me for another interview with the VP of Product, which wasn't mentioned earlier. During prep for this call, they suggested I should take another offer because they couldn't match it, even though their initial salary range was different. Postman's recruitment process was extremely disorganized.
