An external recruiter reached out on Dec 4th, 2023. The first round, a design and strategy discussion, was on Dec 7th, 2023. The panel indicated it was a positive loop, but the hiring manager didn't schedule further rounds. On Dec 27th, 2023, the Postman recruitment team contacted me for a second System Design round. My third round, focusing on Leadership and People Management, was on Jan 9th, 2024. In all these rounds, the panel and Postman recruitment team confirmed it was a positive loop. Although all formal interviews were complete, they wanted me to meet the Head of Reliability, who had recently joined. This fourth round took place on Jan 16th, 2023. The external recruiter mentioned everything was positive and explained the remaining process and any open questions I had. Since then, both the external recruiter and Postman recruitment have been unresponsive. After persistent follow-up, they stated that despite clearing the rounds, Postman still interviews other candidates. This poor candidate experience and indecisive leadership is likely why their Glassdoor rating is low.

All the conversations were directly related to the role, focusing on my past experience and hypothetical scenarios. I discussed how I would handle situations concerning tech leadership, people management, and strategic thinking.

Got the opportunity via linkedin. Referred by a connection. The first round is an HR call to understand my skills and explain the process. Then, an exploratory round with the hiring manager, which is an elimination round. After that, there are three technical rounds covering code, design, and projects. The HR called back to inform that my skills do not match the role's requirements. The HR was courteous and quick with responses.

  • Can you describe your projects?
  • What were your reasons for choosing specific technologies in your projects?
  • Describe a situation where you had to manage your team.
