First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Post University.
Admissions Representative
The process was straightforward. Interview questions focused on your previous experiences and how you would apply them to working at Post. They asked students a total of 8 questions. I'd recommend being open about why you're changing careers and understanding that you'll sometimes be working with students who are upset.
- We sometimes deal with upset students, how would you handle that situation?

First, you have a phone chat with the recruiter about your availability and your reasons for wanting to join the company. If they like what they hear, you'll move on to a formal interview, which is typically a group setting with 3 to 6 people from the department.
- Can you describe your time management skills?
- How do you handle multitasking?
- How would you approach listening to a student who is concerned or has an escalated issue?

It began with a phone call where they mentioned I wasn't quite qualified but decided to proceed anyway. They said I needed to be "super exciting" to impress the team. The interview itself went well, but then I was ignored for over a month. I sent multiple emails asking for an update, and most went unanswered. I eventually contacted HR and got a call the next day saying they were still reviewing candidates. Two weeks later, still no word. I had to reach out again to get another call, where they admitted they'd forgotten to tell me they'd moved on with other people. The entire process was incredibly unprofessional. If you work in HR, it's your responsibility to follow up, not just "forget." As a student, I absolutely do not recommend this experience. If this is how they treat applicants, I can only imagine how they treat students.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Tell me about a challenging situation you encountered.
Admissions Counselor
I was contacted a few days after applying and the HR rep and I talked on the phone for a few weeks. Once I got to campus, I spoke with an Assistant Director about my hobbies, career goals, and the school's culture. My next interview was a little more formal and they asked some tougher work-related questions. Everyone I met was really friendly and the environment seemed busy and lively.
- What makes you a good candidate for this position?
- What are your aspirations for your career?
- Can you describe the school's environment?
