The interview process was easy. They called to schedule a phone screening, and then someone called to schedule a Zoom interview. Everything was organized very well and easy to get through the process. The lengthy part is reference and background checks.

The interview lasted about an hour and included at least five detailed questions with some follow-ups. There were four people present, three of whom were administrators. It felt rather formal. I emailed a few days later to withdraw my application because I had decided to pursue a different path. However, HR sent me an offer a few hours later, which I declined. They did not consider my international teaching experience for the pay scale, but I suspect that's something I could have negotiated.

I applied online and after about 2 weeks, I got an interview. It was in a conference room at the district office downtown with 3 HR people. It seemed like they were interviewing candidates all day, back to back, asking the same things. They asked me 5 questions, and for the first 4, they wanted me to answer like a full-time teacher. The interview itself was pretty bad, and the staff didn't help, they seemed totally uninterested, just writing down my answers to their usual questions. They rarely responded or asked follow-up questions. I figured I probably wouldn't get the job, but I wish they'd started with some personal questions to make it less intense. It felt more like a test. They let me know if I was moving forward in the process within 3 days.
