First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Port View Preparatory.
Classroom Support Professional
We start with HR for prescreening. Then, you'll have an interview with two staff members who can conduct it, like a teacher, BCBA, or other management. They'll ask questions, you'll share your background, and then we'll show you videos of scenarios to see how you'd handle them.
- What's your approach for managing a student who hits their head as a form of SIB?
Customer Service Professional
The interview process was easy and flexible with scheduling. They allowed me to ask questions and gave me a campus tour to see how things operate and what the job would involve if hired.
- Tell me about your experience working with children.
Classroom Support Provider
We had an informative chat about the job description, what's expected, and what a typical day looks like (we even watched some videos). Then, they asked a few questions about hypothetical situations you might face on the job. It was a really laid-back interview, just be yourself and answer honestly.
- Given a video scenario, what action would you take?
CSP Professional
The interview process moved pretty fast, with two employees present. One was asking the questions, and the other was typing notes on a computer. They showed a couple of videos and then asked some scenario-based questions related to my previous ABA experience.
- Based on the video showing an aggressive client, what actions would you take?
- Considering your past ABA experience, how would you approach this situation?
