First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Porsche Design Group.
Designer
It was a very friendly, peer-to-peer conversation with management. It was more small talk than anything substantial, but quite superficial. There was a brief introduction to the immediate team. Overall, it was quite disorganized despite announcing a long journey. Expenses will be reimbursed. There were multiple conversations: a video call beforehand with management, a phone call with HR, and an in-person meeting.
- Do you personally identify with the Porsche brand?
Marketing and Public Relations Specialist
I applied through LinkedIn and got an email for a one-way interview. Then I had an interview with HR & Hiring Manager. The hiring process was fast, they got back to me quickly with a rejection, which is a plus. My rejection was because I didn't have automotive experience, even though I met all other requirements. The previous person in this role did have automotive experience. It's been 2 months and the new hire's LinkedIn doesn't show this job, so I can't confirm. Since it's a big company, they can afford to wait for the perfect candidate. They should prioritize industry experience to save applicants time. I'd recommend applying if you have the required experience and auto industry experience, otherwise don't waste your time. The pay was good though, $90K. I did notice on LinkedIn that their corporate staff isn't very diverse, I wonder if the new hire was a POC since the previous one wasn't. It's a small staff in Costa Mesa, so hopefully, for the next opening, they will focus on hiring a POC, especially for decision-making roles.
- Are you experienced in the automotive industry?
- What is your understanding of our company?
Retail Store Manager
The first conversation was by phone, the second was on Microsoft Teams, and the third was by phone. Everything was very binding and friendly. All essential points were already clarified in the first two conversations.
- My salary expectations were very important to them.
Sales Intern
It was a pretty chill and fast interview process. They really wanted me to ask questions, which was nice. The interviewers did a good job explaining the company's goals and what the day-to-day work is like.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in sales?
