Coding System Design Behavioral

I had a software role interview with three parts: data structures and algorithms (DSA), system design, and behavioral questions. For DSA, I tackled a sliding-window array problem and a graph traversal, discussing edge cases and Big-O notation. The system design portion involved sketching out a URL shortener, covering API endpoints, ID generation, database schema, caching strategies, replication, rate limiting, and monitoring, while also explaining the trade-offs between consistency and availability. The behavioral part focused on teamwork, how I handle mistakes, and giving/receiving feedback, using the STAR method. Throughout the process, I made sure to communicate clearly, demonstrate testing approaches, and explain my reasoning.

Behavioral

My interview with Popular Bank involved a phone chat, an online video call, and finally meeting the branch managers in person. Each part was about an hour long and mostly behavioral questions. A lot of the questions didn't seem to connect with what a teller actually does. The whole thing felt unorganized and not very professional. Communication was really slow and bad; I had to chase them for updates and often my emails were ignored. I ended up calling HR to get any info. During the in-person meeting, the managers trashed a former employee right in front of me, which was super unprofessional. It left a bad taste, and even if they offered me the job, I wouldn't have taken it. There are better banks out there.

Behavioral Technical

It started with a quick Teams chat to get to know me, asking about my background and why I'm interested in the job. Then, I had to do an online test for about 2 hours, covering general problem-solving and basic tech stuff. If you pass that, you go on to talk with the actual team you might join. Pretty organized process overall.
