The interview was welcoming, warm, open, and informative. I appreciated the seamless experience and the opportunity to connect with management about potential opportunities beyond just bartending. I was able to ask questions about benefits and the prospects for growth within the company.

It was pretty easy and straightforward. They asked some simple questions about my experience with cooking, how I handle scaling up recipes, my availability, and my process for following cooking directions. They also asked about my ability to work with others and as part of a team.

I'm graduating high school and have my resume'. I talked to some guy at the counter when you walk in. I handed him my resume' and said I was graduating and am 19. He glances at my resume', sort of sneers at me and said you're 19 and graduating? I told him I missed a lot of my freshman year because I had leukemia and had to repeat 9th grade. He said oh sorry. I told him no, I am sorry I wasted my own time coming in here for a job, forget it. The sneer and question about my age was enough to think I don't want to work at a place like that.

I had an interview and they hired me on the spot. But then they called me before I even got home to say I didn't get the job because they had already hired enough people. I think it was because of my age since I am older.
