Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Popeyes.
Sales Associate
The interview experience was quite draining. The interviewer struggled to answer my questions and had to frequently step away to assist other store staff. It was not a good overall experience. There also appeared to be favoritism shown by the manager towards certain employees, possibly due to family connections.
- Can you work over 40 hours a week?
Sales Associate
First, you'll submit your application, either online or in person. Then, there's a quick phone or video call to start. After that, we'll have a more in-depth chat, either in person or virtually, about your experience and what you can do. We'll be asking you questions about how you handle problems and lead people, and also about managing day-to-day operations and teams. You might have to do some practical tasks too, to see how you'd do as an assistant manager. The last step is meeting with some of the higher-ups before we check your references. If all goes well, you'll get a job offer.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What experience and skills do you have?
- How do you approach problem-solving and leadership scenarios?
Sales Associate
The interviewer had good vibes, was down to earth and understanding. I was treated with respect and told employees eat free. I passed on the job because I didn't like how the kitchen was maintained. But nice people, seemed it would be a laid back part time job.
- Do you have previous food chain experience?
